Diversity & Inclusion Scholars

The APBP Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship was brand new in 2019 and is designed to recognize and support the work of those in underrepresented populations* who are active professionals in the field of biking and walking.

The 2019 scholarship was generously supported by APBP Sponsors People for Bikes, Strava, and Oregon ITE. Awardees received a complimentary registration** to the APBP Conference in Portland, Oregon August 25-28, 2019.

The application period has closed.  Applicants will be notified of their status by June 28, 2019.

*Underrepresented populations are defined as minority groups whose percentage of the population in the field of biking and walking is lower than their percentage of the population in the country.

**Scholarship covers complimentary registration to the conference, but does not cover travel, meals, or other costs.
